NC Service-Learning Training, Durham 2013

What is service-learning all about? Is it the fun events, or perhaps the thrill of a successful year under your belt? Well we all may have different answers to that question, but one thing was for sure after our training at North Carolina Central University in Durham the overwhelming response was – the students!!

25 education and nonprofit professionals, along with students from Raleigh and Wilmington, joined the NC Service-Learning Training to discuss some great topics throughout the day. Students from Exploris Middle school (pictured above) received certificates of awesomeness, as did Coalition Board Member Beth Scherier’s student from E.A. Laney High School (below).
